Thank you to everyone who came out to our album release show (and braved the few droplets of rain) last night at @thunderbirdloungephx!! We had a blast partying with you and celebrating Just Like In The Movies! Shout-out to @kylo.gun and @superduperdrive for kicking off the show in style and EXTRA big shout-out to @whiskeywonderbeard for making sure our audience (and us) stayed dry and sounding exceptional 💪🏼🤘🏼

It’s officially here — the sophomore album Just Like In The Movies.

It somehow feels like both yesterday and a million years ago that the first album dropped. This one began taking shape earlier this summer when new songs started making their way from the back of my brain to the guitar and then to the studio. At first, they were just a vibe — cinematic in a way that felt new for me. I already had the album art in my head, and Aliya suggested the title. From there, it all came together. This album is my ode to the movies.

I know it might sound silly to say this on social media, but I can’t stress enough how important community is. Not just getting involved in a cause, but simply doing things together. Going to the movies has always been one of those things. From seeing a double feature of Angels in the Outfield and The Lion King with my brother and cousin, to watching the final Matrix movie with friends — so many of my best memories come from sharing that magic with the people closest to me, in a room full of strangers.

I hope this album serves as both an escape from reality and a reminder to be with each other. I hope it brings back memories of your favorite kinds of movies. And I hope, most of all, that you simply enjoy it.
