Electric guitar neck problems?
My Epiphone SG G-310 has a slight problem. The back of the neck is kind of... sticky. Like when I tried to go from the 4th fret to the 15th for a solo, the hand just kind of, well it just didn't go as smoothly as some of the guitars I've played. I've looked at forums and it seems to be a rather common problem among g-310's, but noone knows how to fix it. Any help here?
Would it help if I just sand the paint off the back of the neck?

Epiphones are not that. You have two choices . You can have a luthier give it a matt finish which, in your case, will definitely solve the sticking. I had it done to my old Les Paul and that solved that problem.
The other one which works very well, is to carry a small bute of baby powder, Apply some to the plam. This powder make solve your problem 150% as well. It won`t mar the finish and it smells good and, it WORKS.
