I have a fender Squire stratocaster HH, Would it be Worth it to buy a Fender Standard Strat?
I like guitars that can be used in different Genres, And the strat is ideal 4 that in my opinion. but my Squire is kinda breaking down (know wonder when u think of the quality) so im considering saving 4 a Standard Strat. but is it worth the cost, or should i repair my Squire?
Hi! The American Stratocaster would definitely be a significant upgrade (components, fit and finish, playability, etc.) from your existing Squier, and would hold up much better over time. I have seen prices in the $300 to $600 range for American Stratocasters on the pre-owned marketplace (eBay, Craig’s List, pawn shops, trade-ins at music stores, local advertising, etc.), some showing very little use! I would recommend repairing your Squier to sell or as a backup guitar (if not too expensive), and start looking for an American Stratocaster. Best regards, Dana
