The Fender Mustang II is a 40 watt solid state amp. That amp will be loud enough for small venue gigs. For larger venues, you will need to mic the amp and run it through the PA.
The Fender Mustang II is a digital modeling amp and is therefore quite versatile. It is capable of handling many styles of music.
