Why do they charge a ridiculous $80,000 plus on old used classic cars from the 60s and 70s?
I think they're a ripoff to be charged that much. New 8-cylinder sports cars cost like TransAMs and Camaro Z28s cost less than $20,000 back in 2002, and they have these dumb, old used cars probably with a million miles on them (literally), to be charged 4 times that?
I know they're old, I know they're restored, I know they're from the far, far back from the 60s and 70s, but there's no way I would pay that much for a car that worse off in ins true ability as opposed to what cars made from 2002 can do.
Comparing a 40 year old car to one just hald a decade old, the newer one is much more improved by comparison. I'd much rather spend $80,000 on a Dodge Viper than and old 60s Dodge Charger that is indeed slower than the Viper.
Because they can. If people are willing to pay, sellers can charge sky high prices.
