Larrivee Guitars, the LV-05E, is easily one of the most versatile guitars. The Board of Larrivee, aka "The Body", designed by Jean Larrivee, combines the best of a battleship with the best of a large audience. To play with your fingers to scrape percussion drag to play, this guitar sounds very little.
When you play fingers, the LV-05E responds much like a large auditorium only, with a complete and balanced. Still you can easily take a flatpick and dig in. I used a Dunlop peak of 2.0 mm and presented to the bluegrass guitar playing hard, lick, blues runs, the scrape blade glass and percussion. It all sounded very well, except for hard strumming, sounding "Clicky" which is no surprise, since I'm using a 2.0 mm thick option. As such, I've made a selection of Dunlop 0.73 mm and, as was expected, produced a total Larrivee Dreadnought-like strumming. The slide sounded especially good, though, with mahogany produce a clear and whining.
Constructed with a spruce Sitka and Mahogany back and sides, the LV-05E has a shiny appearance that goes with your tone. The LV-50E comes with a soft cross section with the soft curves of a pot Venetian court, but also depending on the thickness of a cross section Maccaferri. Other features include LV-05E: All solid wood construction One piece mahogany neck, Canada Sitka spruce sound card and Bracing, African Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Canadian Maple Multi-Strip fixing body, mahogany sides and bottom solid symmetric parabolic X-bracing, hand, neck joint dovetail shape, Abalone Rosette, Pearl Logo and Borders Chief of silver, chrome Tuners 18:01 Reason Ivor binding handle, the striker Larrivee Custom Bevel, Microdot manga markers, Tusq compensated saddle Limited Lifetime warranty, LR Baggs iMix Notch System (Dual Source) and the Arch-top Guitars Larrivee hard case.
